As part of the District’s ongoing program to improve water quality and water flow within the distribution system, construction will begin to upgrade the water mains on Dunstan Road on Monday, September 21st. The project involves construction of 1,100 linear feet of new 8-inch ductile iron water mains to replace the existing 6-inch cast iron water mains along Dunstan Road and associated service connections, hydrants, fittings, and other appurtenances. We anticipate a few temporary disruptions to water service during construction as the existing pipes are taken out of service and replaced with new ductile iron pipes. These interruptions may last up to several hours. Notices will be left on doors in advance of service disruptions. The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-November. Construction work will take place Monday through Friday, from 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
